g Junior Nationals concluded Friday where CAT swimmers CA Castagna,
Wes Stearns, Caroline
Myers, Nick Alexiou and Taylor Katz all had the opportunity to step
up on the blocks and race t
he na
tion’s best 18 and under competition. Up coming Palm Harbor
Senior Wes Stearns was a top 16 fi
nalist in the mens 400 free and finished 14th with a time of
3:59.14. He also gathered
t
wo other top 20
finishes in both the 1500 freestyle (18th) & 800 free (20th)
while posting personal best times in both events. Senior CA
Castagna posted personal best times in both his 100 fly and 200
freestyle events while Freshman Taylor Katz posted a personal best
in her 200 backstroke
. Overall, CAT coaches felt the meet was a good learning experience
for the CAT swimmers and will help each one of them understand what
it takes to be one of the Nations top swimmers and make the jump to
the next level of competition in their swimming careers. Nice Job
